Are Blogs Still A Thing?

I guess the real question becomes, am I still relevant? I know many people enjoy reading but I think the way of words has quickly gone from print to audio. More often then not, even in looking for information myself, a video helps to engage the modern listener quicker and easier.
I find this very interesting since I am not an auditory learner at all. I will remember about 10-20% of a lecture, but give me a book and have me write a paper and I will retain closer to 90%. It is probably why I enjoy teaching so much, I feel like I know things even better when I have to explain the process to someone else.
I have a gut feeling we are all a lot less relevant then we think. We get so caught up in what our own issues are and forget to look up from our problems long enough to see our loved ones drowning too. I want to move past this and really be able to meet others where they are at, which is why I ask: "Are blogs still a thing?"
According to this article blogs are still apparently a big deal so that is really hopeful for a writer like myself. Perhaps there is something I can offer to another soul, a nugget of truth to share with the next generation, or simply a funny story to share that will brighten someone else's day.
