More Than I Can Handle

Gratitude can change my perspective and it allows me to fight back the enemy with the Joy of the Lord, I am probably most thankful that God constantly gives me more than I can handle.

Whoever says that God never gives you more than you can handle is a liar. 100%. It is not biblical, not even found in the Bible, and not helpful at all for living the Christian faith.

I find example after example, of how God gave his people challenges far beyond their human capabilities throughout scripture (teenage David killing a giant, Gideon taking out armies with 300, Esther going before the king-certain death- to advocate for her people, Daniel refusing the kings food, and his buddies getting thrown into a furnace, a crass fisherman preaching the gospel for the first time and getting 3,000 converts!!!). God loves using the small, insignificant, and impossible to show case his glory.

When I use the #onlyGod, I mean it. I left my own strength several years ago. The only way I am still standing today is by the amazing grace of the Most High God who found a willing vessel to use for his glory. God has given me far greater challenges then I could ever handle. And yet, everyday I get up, I am met with his strength which sustains me. I do not have strength for tomorrow, but I will when I wake up. It is a daily walk, and I only get what I need for today.

I am thankful that my understanding of what is possible has changed beyond my wildest expectations. I know prison walls do fall down, I know God still moves mountains, I know that in my weakness God will make me strong and I know that when all is said and done, my identity as a daughter of the Great I AM is fully and completely unshakeable.

And just in case you don't believe in miracles, this girl, who grew up believing she was worthless and told she was dumb and stupid her whole life, got her entire Bachelors degree with a 4.0 G.P.A. on an educational scholarship and acing every single writing assignment thrown at her. And then was accepted into a graduate program that is also 100% payed for. Sometimes you just have to remove the haters from your life so you can discover how wrong they were to put limitations on God and his ability to work through you.
