Story

The greatest story teller of all time is Jesus. The stories he told are still being told today. They are metaphors and allegory, analogy and parable. I love that the Word who became flesh used words to describe the Kingdom of God. It seems so right to an aspiring author and counselor that even Jesus used words to change hearts.

I am in the processes of writing my story and finding my voice. It is hard and difficult work, there is much pain and sorrow, but yet I do not want my voice to give way to bitterness. While my story parallels the trials that Joseph (the son of Jacob) endured, it is a process and a healing journey that takes years, as it did with Joseph. I long to be able to say to those that brought destruction that it was good, because it brought about the saving of the world. Today is not that day in my story, but I hope it will be soon.
