This last weekend I went for a hike in the woods.
Yes, literally.
I had my best friend and my camera and we set off to discover something new.
Along the way I found beauty in the little things.
I found rest for my soul.

Can you image for a second, walking with God in the garden? Like Adam and Eve did?
What would that have been like... To be able to share in the beauty of nature with The One who spoke it into being. To have Him point out all the intricacies that I can't see or even comprehend.
For me, the redwoods (as well as trips to the ocean) remind me of the last few chapters of the book of Job. Where God asks Job where he was when the earth was created. I feel like Job, I often speak out of turn and need to be reminded that I know nothing.
Simply put: "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine" (Isaiah 55:8).
